Nominations for Electoral Division 2 (current: Martin Van Diemen) and Electoral Division 4 (current: Calvin Konynenbelt) are now open.
Martin Van Diemen will retire at the end of his current term (May 2026) and welcome new candidates to represent Electoral Division 2.
Nominations Close: Friday, April 10, 2026
Election Date: Thursday, May 7, 2026 (if required).
Section 35 if the Irrigation Districts Act outlines Board member eligibility criteria:
- 18 years of age or older
- is an irrigator (or appointed under Section 30)
- is an irrigator with irrigation acres in the electoral division if elections are done by electoral division
- is a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
